Jason Mares
General Manager NSW/ACT, Corporate & Commercial Banking, ANZ
Jason’s role has been expanded to include the broader Corporate & Commercial businesses within NSW/ACT.
As Head of Corporate Banking, Jason is responsible for driving the strategy, management, growth and performance of the Corporate Banking business segment across Australia.
Combining both of these roles will provide Jason with a unique perspective in setting national strategy for the Corporate Segment and then driving execution of the State Franchise Plan across Esanda, Small Business, Regional Business Bank, Business Bank and Corporate Bank.
Joining ANZ as a teller in 1980, Jason has more than 30 years experience working across Personal Banking, International Trade, Business Banking, Corporate Banking and the Institutional Banking businesses.
In 2014, Jason’s focus remains on driving business growth through the Corporate National Segment and leveraging the NSW/ACT businesses around their staff, clients and geographies.
ANZ’s strategic focus on Asia is providing the Corporate & Commercial business with market leverage to take their clients to Asia.
Jason has a Master Degree in Applied Finance obtained from Macquarie University.
